A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that Edward Baine would replace John Rocovich as rector. Baine will serve the remainder of Rocovich鈥檚 term as a member of the Board of Visitors. The board will elect a new rector.

BLACKSBURG 鈥 Virginia Tech Board of Visitors Rector John Rocovich was removed from the board Wednesday by Gov. Abigail Spanberger, who cited violations of ethics and conduct codes, and said he acted against the university鈥檚 best interests.
